Dental implants

  • 3D CT + intraoral scan + digital surgical guide
  • Bone graft (GBR) and sinus lift for insufficient bone
  • Osstem, Dio/Dentis, Straumann — fees and warranty published
  • Conscious (IV) sedation available

A dental implant replaces a missing tooth with a titanium root placed in the jawbone and a crown on top. At The Barunface, the implant is placed by a jaw surgeon: 3D CT and an intraoral scan determine the safest position relative to nerves and the sinus, a surgical guide is made digitally, and bone grafting or sinus lift is performed when bone is insufficient. Conscious sedation is available for anxious patients.

Medically reviewed by Dr. Sang-Hoon Lee, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Timeline

Lower jaw: 2–3 months of integration; upper jaw: 3–6 months. Bone grafting adds several months. Immediate placement after extraction is possible when there is no infection and enough bone. Temporary teeth can be provided for visible areas.

Warranty

Fixture: Straumann 2 years, Osstem/Dio/Dentis 1 year. Prosthesis: 1 year. If a fixture fails within the first year, only the bone graft cost is charged for re-placement. Exclusions (smoking, missed check-ups, trauma) are explained at consultation.

Implants from other clinics

We repair and replace prostheses, abutments and screws from implants placed elsewhere, and assess peri-implantitis with CT.

How Dr. Lee decides whether to operate

Rather than treating more patients, I want to listen fully to one person, think it through myself, and stay responsible from treatment to recovery.

— Dr. Sanghoon Lee
