Seomyeon, Busan · Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Jaw surgery in Busan, by the surgeon who plans it, performs it and sees you through recovery.
Dr. Sang-Hoon Lee has spent more than 20 years in oral and maxillofacial surgery and 13 years running an orthognathic-focused hospital in Busan. He does the 3D virtual planning himself, operates under general anesthesia with an anesthesiologist, and sees you at every follow-up. If you do not need surgery, he will tell you.

One surgeon, the whole way
Consultation, 3D virtual surgical planning (VSP), surgery, inpatient rounds and follow-up are all done by Dr. Lee, not delegated to staff.
- 02
Digital planning done in-house
CT, intraoral scan, photos and dental models are merged into one 3D model. Dr. Lee simulates the surgery on the computer first and 3D-prints the surgical guide (wafer) in the clinic.

A hospital built for surgery patients

Honest about what surgery cannot do
Surgery is recommended only when the benefit clearly outweighs the burden. Consultations where surgery was not recommended are published openly on the Korean site.

Orthognathic (double jaw) surgery
Orthognathic surgery repositions the upper jaw (maxilla) and lower jaw (mandible) to correct skeletal malocclusion that orthodontics alone cannot fix: prognathism (underbite), retrogenia (receding chin), facial asymmetry and long face with gummy smile.

Read more"To a surgeon it may be a familiar operation, but to the patient it can be one of the biggest and hardest decisions of a lifetime. I wanted to practice in a way that listens fully to one person, plans personally, and stays responsible from surgery through recovery."
